Spring Check

A "Spring Check" is a preseason inspection of the entire
Air Conditioning system. We have found the spring check to be beneficial in many ways. It can identify problems that may not have shown up at the end of the previous season. This allows us to rectify the problem before the cooling season begins. This is also the time to make sure the condensate drain line is clear and working properly.
The busiest time of the season for service, is the 2 weeks following the first hot day. In most cases, that water leak or no cooling call could have been taken care of during a preventative maintenance visit, rather than the customer being uncomfortable, or suffering water damage from a clogged drain.

ITEMS CHECKED DURING A SPRING CHECK

Clean and blow out condensate line.

Inspect Air Handler and Ductwork-repair as necessary.

Check condition of coil and condensate pan.

Replace air filter if necessary (no charge if customer supplies filter).

Start system-check thermostat operation.

Check refrigerant level-adjust as needed.

Inspect electrical components-contactors-relays-capacitors.

Inspect condition of condenser coil.

Provide customer with report of overall condition of system.

If any problems found, explain them to customer, and give approximate cost to repair.

Annual maintenance and changing filters can prevent costly repairs!!!
